After many years of innovative research and development by Dr Richard Birenheide of Germany with valuable input from Jeff Blyth of England, the BB (Blyth-Birenheide) series of holographic emulsions were launched in 1996 to much acclaim from holographers worldwide. The exceptionally low scatter and high diffraction efficiency produced images of a quality not seen before, and has helped to put display holography on a new level.

Colourholographic Ltd have been producing this superior product in England since 2001. Various modifications at Colour Holographic introduced by M Vale have enabled consistency and reliability of the final product as well as guranteed lower scatter. Further improvements are also being carried out by Dr M Ulibarrena and M Vale which will enlarge the range of product eg. pulse laser compatibility.
