October 2005 It is not the cold beer, the gin & tonic, or the glass of chardonnay playing a trick on pub goers’ eyes this time. The appearing and disappearing image at the local pub is the result of our own Moviposter ™ destined to revolutionize the advertising industry.
Moviposters will now appear in approximately 40 Punch Tavern pubs across the greater London area and Central Region, offering advertisers a new, innovative, and interactive way to reach pub goers. In this unique venture, Pub Media and Punch Tavern Pubs, the company that owns 8,400 pubs throughout the UK, will offer holographic sites at each participating pub for advertising space rental. Advertisers can rent these sites for six-week campaign, where they can feature drink brands, cars, foods, and other relevant products.
Along with this unique and interactive advertising medium, Pub Media will also provide advertisers with thorough surveying of each of the participating pubs. To assist interested brands, Pub Media will also analyse demographic and attitudinal data for each of the pubs to provide advertisers with information about who they can reach at each pub. “These pubs, as centres of social interaction, are perfect sites to showcase the holograms’ greatest and amazing advantage: their interactivity,” says Rob Penn, Sales Director of ColourHolographic.
