Michael Medora, a well-known holographer, together with Nigel Robiette, a filmmaker highly skilled in animation, live action and special effects founded Colour Holographic Ltd in 1998. It followed a successful project to produce a hologram of a diamond for an exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Both already had many years experience making holograms and had previously collaborated on several occasions including the production of a limited edition Star Trek hologram in 1991.

Central to Colour Holographic's growing range of ground breaking holographic products is the ultra-fine grain BB emulsion that has been manufactured solely by us since 2001. It is based at a dedicated manufacturing facility in Essex.

By 2002 Colour Holographic had the expertise and technology to mass produce the Moviposter™, a large format full colour rainbow stereogram. Copies of these were made on triacetate film and laminated onto a flat optically clear acrylic backing sheet.

We work very closely with our clients starting with initial feasibility studies, through to imaging, production, distribution and installation. We have a growing range of display holographic products for sale together with on-going projects with a number of large and well respected scientific companies.
